Introducing Carrie Slager of The Mad Reviewer as a Regular Guest Poster on 20four12

When I first started this blog back in March of this year I tried hard to find a few other book blogs I could follow in my RSS feed in order to get an idea of how book blogging really works. In my very wide-ranging search for blogs to follow I came across one called The Mad Reviewer that seemed to be regularly updated, very organized, and quite good at putting thought to paper so-to-speak. I’ve been following Carrie’s efforts on her blog ever since and I like to think we’ve struck up a rather helpful relationship with each other regarding our respective sites.

So, when I decided it was time to branch out a little bit and find some guest posting opportunities, she was the first person I approached. We quickly decided that the best route for the two of us would be to set up a regular schedule where one of us writes a guest post of some kind for the other every other week. Starting tomorrow, Carrie will be showing up here on 20four12 every other Friday with book reviews, entertaining articles, or whatever else she feels inspired to write. Beginning next week on September 14th and continuing every other week I’ll be returning the favor over at The Mad Reviewer for her. I have to say that I’m quite excited about this great partnership we’ve got cooking. I think Carrie does a great job with her reviews and her blog on the whole.

Here’s a little more about Carrie according to her About page:

My name is Carrie Slager and I am a young woman living in rural Saskatchewan.  I have a passion for reading and writing, which is why I started my blog.  I want to help people out by writing reviews about both old and new novels in the YA genre (although I’ll occasionally review books that teens and adults may read).  I’ll also be posting book trailers that look interesting as well as some articles about new releases.

My hobbies include reading up on ancient Egypt, listening to the History of Rome podcast (which I highly recommend, even if you’re not a big history fan), reading, writing, spending time with friends, volleyball, badminton, soccer and modern dance.  Of course, between all these things, I try to update my blog regularly.  It doesn’t always work out very well, but I do try.

So, drop by tomorrow to see what’s she’s got in store for us and give The Mad Reviewer a visit when you’ve got a free minute. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
